sea and brackish water desalination

Due to socio-economic developments of a growing world population, the need for clean drinking and fresh water for municipal, industrial and agricultural purposes is increasing. In many regions, the water demand cannot be met sustainably from natural sources. Desalination of seawater allows freshwater to be obtained without overburdening natural resources.

Maritime Systems for drinking water abstraction

“… maritime desalination systems are floating waterworks with self-sufficient energy supply, which produce drinking water from seawater in offshore operation ...”

Shifting production facility to open sea avoiod land consumption and opens up new and unconventional possibilities for drinking water supply. Vessels are operated with LNG in a climate-friendly manner and can be converted to CO2-neutral e-fuels or CO2-free hydrogen drives in the future.
